Life's Simple Pleasures

From a simple cup of coffee to a walk in the park, there never ceases to be something quaint and easy to turn to. It could be re- doing your room, or painting a blank canvas, or even organizing your planner-  but to know that life has blessed us with an abundance of simple pleasures is truly a delight.

F.I.L.M.

I have come to realize that film is none other than a universal language; it speaks to the masses- bringing about joy, sorrow, laughter, tears, pain, discomfort and self realization. It is one way in which we connect our own thoughts and feelings to strangers, a plot, and a director's brilliance. There is power in film that continues to touch lives on so many different levels. Here are some films that have touched my own life.

1. Ordinary People- a film based on the novel by Judith Guest starring Mary Tyler Moore, Donald Sutherland and Timothy Hutton
2. Pretty Women- Starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts
3. Saving Private Ryan- Starring Tom Hanks
4. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest- Starring Jack Nicholson
5. Shawshank Redemption- Starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freedman
6. Primal Fear - Starring Edward Norton and Richard Gere
7. My Fair Lady- Starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison
8. Man on Fire- Starring Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning
9. Girl Interrupted- a film based on the novel by Susanna Kaysen, starring Angelina Jolie and Brittany Murphy
10. The Wizard of Oz- Starring Judy Garland
